HIROSHIMA VIETNAM PEACE AND FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION OFFERED GIFTS AT INTERIOR PEOPLE'S HIGH SCHOOL

On March 3, 2021, Ms. Noriko Nakamura - Coordinator of Hiroshima Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association, Consular and Overseas Vietnamese Division - Department of Foreign Affairs coordinated with NIJI Center to offer 120 gifts to the students of Quang Tri Province Ethnic Boarding High School. The gifts included 120 backpacks and hats for students in grade 12 and 40 Casio calculator for poor students.

In October 2020, Hiroshima Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association also provided 100 gifts of 23 million VND in Ba Long commune, Dakrong district to help people overcome the consequences of historic floods.
In 2020, Quang Tri was heavily affected by the historic flood and Covid-19 epidemic. The gifts brought spiritual encouragement to help people overcome difficulties.
Since 2009, Hiroshima Vietnam Peace and Friendship Association has annually sent delegations to meet with the provincial leaders and relevant departments. Many issues in economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, Agent Orange/dioxin, humanitarian activities in health, education, and scholarships have been discussed, especially, the possibilities of establishing friendship and cooperation between the government and people of the two provinces of Quang Tri and Hiroshima./.
